Connecting face-to-face, in real life, with our local professional network. Expanding business opportunities through LinkedIn. Starting conversations, fostering cooperations, building new relationships AND having a fantastic time together. In a pitch free, sales free environment.
Where we meet the people behind their LinkedIn profiles. Welcome to #linkedinlocal.
What's a really good idea to do before going for a networking event?
Top Tip: get our LinkedIn profile updated and ready to connect, as it can often serve like, or even replace, our business cards these days! And it's much more, than just a business card, or a CV! LinkedIn is a place where people can get to know more about what we have to offer. It's a place where we can build new connections, foster relationships, inspire and share our professional experiences with each other, and this all might lead to more business opportunities. Here is to the fantastic team at the 1st B!Social powerhour session. I had the opportunity to attend an inspiring presentation by the Chia Sisters, New Zealand’s most sustainable beverage company, at the Nelson BNZ Networking Event, where they shared their story about how they became a #ZeroCarbon business! Wow, what a fantastic evening! It was an honour to be back to present for the second time with the Nelson Tasman Business Trust and share some of my top tips on how to raise a business profile to grow, get strategic and hopefully enjoy the process, too! ☺️ O Of course, with the help of Social Media. I highlighted the importance of a solid social media strategy and I invited 3 local business owners who started implementing what they learned at the B!Social Workshops and got some great results from it. They joined me on stage to present their absolutely inspiring local case studies.
Last week was big for me. I flew over to Sydney to receive my Finalist Certificates for the Social Media Marketing Awards Australia & New Zealand, the industry's biggest award in our region. I was voted into the TOP 5 by a select group of international judges, in 2 categories:
The past few days have been quite intense, with of course, the Gala Ceremony being the highlight of last week! I am feeling a tremendous amount of excitement, honour and pride to be a finalist. Also, receiving lots of valuable feedback from my colleagues gave me an awesome boost and professional reassurance to keep continuing what I do in this space. And then, when I arrived back home, a sense of tiredness rushed through me. It’s like, you know, when you are on a road trip, it’s amazing, you gain lots of new experiences, and then finally you arrive, ready to take a break, pause, and just contemplate on the memories while you look back on your trip. Now that’s what happened to me. So I took a few days to reflect, look back, evaluate, and of course treasure the moments, the journey. The B!Social journey that started almost 2 years ago, right here, in Nelson, New Zealand. Born out of a new challenge, and with it, a complete new me was born. Thank you to each and every one of you who have been following, were/ or are part of this journey. Here are some of my favourite highlight moments of the Social Media Marketing Awards Gala Dinner. Thank you Social Media Marketing Institute, I will never forget! I am now back, full of new energies, inspiration, and lots of valuable new knowledge to share. And if you are curious to hear how the B!Social journey started, just keep reading :)
Notes from my imaginary LinkedIn Diary:
Excitement in the air. Looking forward to some special moments to share. It’s finally time. It’s time to meet the people behind their LinkedIn profiles. |
