Wow, what a fantastic evening! It was an honour to be back to present for the second time with the Nelson Tasman Business Trust and share some of my top tips on how to raise a business profile to grow, get strategic and hopefully enjoy the process, too! ☺️ O Of course, with the help of Social Media. I highlighted the importance of a solid social media strategy and I invited 3 local business owners who started implementing what they learned at the B!Social Workshops and got some great results from it. They joined me on stage to present their absolutely inspiring local case studies. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn - platforms that have a huge potential to leverage for marketing. We looked at how they can add value to growing a business. Without a strategy though, it is very easy to loose focus. Having a solid Social Media Strategy is key to achieving results and stay on track. Most of my clients however don't have one in place and never thought how important it is to have one.
Do you have one in place? If not, or if you'd like to refine it, the best way to start is to answer 3 key questions that you can use as a base for your own strategy:
Once you've got this, the next step is: tune in to which platform resonates with you. Where do you like to spend time? Which platform do you enjoy? Posting, creating content, engaging on Social Media, yes, it all requires time. So why not spend your time where it will not feel like a task that you keep putting off, but rather enjoy? Go where you feel alive! And the long awaited case studies. 3 local business owners. All previous participants at our workshops. All implementing tips that helped raise their profile and grow their business. Tips and a strategy that lead to some real good results to get their business visible and in front of their target audience. Our first guest speakers, Michael & Roxy sharing their success story - how can social media be used to raise the profile of their brand new photo scanning business Scan4U and drive quality traffic to their new website!
Well done Team ! All the best of luck as you help your clients save and back up their most precious photo memories and transform them into digital scans.?
Patricia sharing her tips on the Love me - Trust me - Buy from me process and how it works in practice for her family business, Flaxmore Vineyards. It all starts with the Love me process. And Patricia demonstrated this live. One of the extra special moments of the evening was when we got to savour the Flaxmore wines. What a treat! My favourite got to be the Pinot Gris. Felicity sharing how she is getting over her challenges, making social media work for her business, Ms Fizzberry and Flossie Balloons and Entertainment. She also talked about how she is using the Facebook Business Manager to manage the different accounts when advertising as she has several businesses. Well done Flossie for bringing your wisdom, sincerity & smiles to us all, so proud to see you grow! Thanks for sharing your story! And how lucky those kids will be when you appear on the next special birthday or event to bring more smiles into their lives!
Explore how can you put things into practice and make Social Media Marketing work best for your business! We have the exact same workshops coming up soon that the 3 business owners above attended.
It might be the right time for you and your business to join us and #bsocialnow :) Proud to say, too, that as a result of this evening & thanks to Patricia, a new hashtag was born: #buylocalnelson to encourage supporting our local businesses and finding local products to enjoy! Feel free to use it & spread the word. And now, here are some of our favourite moments together: Enjoying our time together, meeting new people, catching up with each other! An extra tip for this awesome team - how to snap a good selfie - make sure to look in the camera, not at your finger while taking the picture. Enjoyed chatting to you all and congratulations to Richard from Compass South on winning the business card draw with the Nelson Tasman Business Trust! Looking forward to seeing you at another BizNet event! A big thanks to all of you who came, participated and brought those really smart questions! Sarah Holmes and Lisa McRae-Price, thanks for the wonderful organisation! You are doing such a great job at supporting the local businesses. Nelson Tasman is lucky to have you both! Also, a special shout out to Sandra Johnson, Donna Wells, Jess McKay, Sally Rees, Laura Loghry and Anne-Marie Richards for posting some of these lovely photos that I reshared of our time together, here in this blog.
Yes, a special day it was. This day, exactly 2 years ago, I posted my 1st official Facebook post.
And... Yes, also time to give back! On this special date, I decided to honour someone from the audience and surprise them with a complimentary ticket to my upcoming workshop. Proud to say that the lucky winner got to be an inspiring new charity, the Aroha Discovery School that I am super proud to support. Here is the moment when we announced the winner, with the winning photo. :) I trust you will be inspired by some new ideas & will be ready to put some new learnings or takeaways into practice after attending this event, or maybe even after reading this blog post. If you need any help or not sure how and where to start, please get in touch! :) About Bea Pole-Bokor
