I’m on my way to San Diego!!! A very quick check in to say that I will be attending Social Media Marketing World, for the 3rd time already, and I can’t wait to tap into LOTS of new knowledge and bring back with me the learnings, the new tips, trends, and what’s hot in the world of social media these days!!! Social Media is constantly changing as we all know, new things emerge all the time, new features come and go, and it’s not easy to navigate this space, especially when you have lots of hats on and have to manage other aspects of the business, not only social media marketing. In my recent conversations with my clients, colleagues as well as friends, social media and its connection to the “digital overwhelm” has been a big topic.
Yes! Big topics! This is why I am more excited than ever to go to this conference, to invest in myself, so I can keep learning, developing, learn from the best and ask questions from the top of mind experts in the industry, and integrate my new learnings in my social media trainings so you all can benefit even more from it. As some of you might have read in this post, I’m undergoing a big change. The way I approach social media and its potential is shifting big time. Social media has always played a big role in my own professional/personal development, it was always there, quietly happening in the background, but the visible part was rather about how can I help people promote their business or organisation through Social. Through the practical side of Social Media Marketing. In the past few months though, I’m realising I am starting to feel the importance to voice this other aspect and to start highlighting it more, as I start embracing and owning it more, too, as part of my work. Namely what impact I see in how the use of social media can become a very important and a life changing tool for not only the growth of our business, but our own growth, as a human, too: its potential to be used as a tool for development. To get over ourself, to own ourself, to be honest with ourselves. What is important to us, why do we do it, what we are here for. This is the feedback I am getting, this is what I am noticing as I work with my clients, and as I work on myself. As many of you would probably agree, there is always something new to learn. The more we know about a certain topic, the more we understand how little we know. And I’m so grateful I can learn from each and every one of you with whom I get the chance to work with and discuss these topics. Special shout out to these awesome B!Socials here: Yes! This is work! I will speak for myself. Social Media Marketing required and guided me to look into myself. Big time, yet again. It’s scary. It’s empowering. It feels sometimes lonely, but I know I am not alone, and I know I’ve got my back. And so do you! I’m very grateful I found a great mentor and coach to help me with these shifts - yes, to give me new perspectives, and teach me new techniques how I can tap into my full potential. So, short story a bit longer, I will be bringing some live updates straight from San Diego in the coming days. Tune in, ask questions, let me know if you are keen to learn more about a specific topic/platform - you can ask them here, too. I will definitely have a few thousand fellow colleagues and marketers from all round the world to ask questions from :) I will be back in the second week of March, full of new inspiration guaranteed, and will surely be ready to share it with you all! Lots of plans and events coming your way - the 3 signature workshops (Ultimate, Social Media Ads and LinkedIn) are now already open for pre-registration. More details on the events and links to book the tickets coming shortly, so stay tuned!
