What does a Bear Hunt and Social Media have in common?

Today I’m bringing a story with the bears. I just love how they still keep showing up. I have been enjoying greeting and meeting them during the New Zealand lockdown weeks, somehow they always brought a smile to my face. I imagine you would have seen some, too?

Here is a story inspired by the bears who keep showing up.

Every once in a while, a new one showed up: there was a little one with a scooter, an older looking grandpa one, a mummy bear with a baby bear, a bear walking a dog... then an Easter bunny joined the bears. Then we had an ANZAC theme bear installation.

And here is the newest, so far my absolute favourite: the group of teddies in the picnic area, enjoying their time together.

I could relate to all of them.

There must be a really talented & creative person behind these bears who really grasped the essence of the happenings.

I love the details, you will find really everything on this picnic blanket, even the tissues!

This and the teddies made me think of something. These bears are now almost part of my days. Every day, when a new one showed up, I got excited as a child. Will there be one more? What will it look like? Who will it reflect? What story will it tell by showing up.

The bears and I now have a shared connection. I can relate to them. I feel like I know them. That they know me a bit, too. And we became part of each other’s lives.

How did it all happen? They kept showing up.

I wonder if you can feel the link with social media here? If you keep posting, you keep showing up with content that people can notice, and even more - like, enjoy, and just by showing up, there is a chance that they will start relating. They will like it. They will remember it. They will talk about it.

I’m now talking about the bears. Just because they keep showing up. They are Top of Mind bears now.
