When you struggle with something, be it personal or professional, it can be very challenging to put yourself out in the limelight and market yourself.
In fact, it might be the last thing you wanna do. Chances are, you rather hide away, and not let anyone know that you are going through difficulties.
What makes it to social media is quite often the filtered reality, we all know that.
Also, often it might not be the safest place for you to share your struggle publicly, especially when the hurt is still active.
Take this in for a moment.
A tricky situation in your business, or a turbulence in your personal life, in your relationships can throw you off balance real quick. And let’s be real, there is a lot happening these days on so many levels.
Worrying about your physical safety, health, your financial sustainability, these all come first based on Maslow’s famous pyramid of the hierarchy of needs.
Self-promotion, marketing your brand, business, creating creative posts for your social media, thinking content strategy when you are triggered or blocked is definitely not there.
So what can you do?
On one hand, you know you got to show up, keep marketing yourself, because no one buys a secret, right?
On the other hand, priorities, dare I say, “survival needs” override everything.
So what can you do in this conflict? How can you make it work?
Understanding how you work might be the first step.
Understanding and becoming aware of patterns, situations, triggers might be the next.
Bringing them to your consciousness might be the next.
And knowing that you are not alone with this might be helpful, too.
This is the message I received today from this beautiful orange sunset.
Social media can be so much more than promoting your business.
Social media might be your best gateway to understand and fulfil yourself.
