Following the wonderful feedback from you all, I am excited to share with you the latest "B!Socials in the Spotlight" series - yes, now it's turned into a series! - featuring my lovely clients who we had the chance to work together with on their Social Media Marketing, and who are each doing some amazing things in their respective fields.
A big shoutout to you all who stepped up, decided to invest in yourselves, put in time & some thinking behind your posts to bring real & valuable content to your clients, dared to be brave, do something new or out of your comfort zone, and to all of you who chose to B!Social with us in the past few months to take your business or organisation to another level. Here is to leveraging the power of Social Media!
Everyone, please meet the B!Socials - connect with them, follow them, B!inspired by them and their top tips! And who knows, you or a friend might actually need one of them in your life, right now?! :)
A quick recap of the industries we had the pleasure to work with during this period on their Social Media Strategy, Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn tips, profiles & pages, or through our signature Social Media Workshops:
photo scanning services, banking, law firm, charity, orthodontics, agriculture, management consulting, alternative dispute resolution, textile industry, hospitality, real estate, distillery/ manufacturing, retail, online fashion retail, make up artist, business networking, education, health & wellbeing, design & construction, hair & beauty wholesale, and home decor. Meet the B!Socials
We were absolutely in awe when we saw they got the hang of it so quickly, tuning in to a way to create content that fits them and their business. The before & after photos speak for themselves. And, they even got into video (!!!) to tell their story and how they can help their customers save those precious family photos & documents for future generations. Thank you Michael & Roxy, so much fun to work with you both! :) Keep those posts coming!
TOP TIP from Michael: Post at times when people are checking, make the post relevant and interesting. Don't post for the sake of posting as it drives traffic away.
TOP TIP: If you are in a leadership role where you have a lot of visibility, you definitely want to have a solid, optimised LinkedIn profile that is up-to-date. Bonus: Search engines love it, too!
They have been sharing their expertise for over 20 years. Following a rebranding and our Social Media Strategy Training for a fresh new start, Kylie is now uniting the Team and sharing the Clinic's stories and tips with the help of Social Media.
Have a look and peek behind the scenes, based in Nelson. Not only a super professional, but also a super friendly Team. Loved working with you Kylie, a big congratulations on completing the training and keep up the great work! Love the way you embraced the strategy through your creativity and the Instagram Stories, too! I have recently undertaken a one on one 4 week course with Bea to improve our digital marketing and social media platform.
Social Media Marketing can bring a lot of possibilities for businesses that want to grow and scale. But can Social Media be used for a non profit organisation or a charity, you might wonder?
Well, if you would like to make a difference in your community, raise awareness about the topic and values you represent as an organisation, and maybe explore new opportunities for collaborations, the answer is yes!
Child protection, abuse and neglect are not easy topics. Often, they are avoided, and not talked about. It was very insightful to learn about the fantastic work Willow and Kirsten are doing to raise awareness, educate, empower and support us all who want to make a difference. To make our communities safer for our children.
I saw the potential in Social Media. We want to create communities to protect children from abuse and neglect. Community is a key, I believe, to protecting children. TOP TIP from Willow: Have a plan & a strategy. Otherwise you will post 3 posts in a day and nothing for 6 weeks.

Thank you Bea for taking us out of our comfort zone and into the world of digital marketing. So much learned and so much to learn. All the best Ladies! Keep up the great work! And special congrats to Martha for your 5 years anniversary with the company. :)
TOP TIP from Martha: Just do it. Put yourself out there and embrace it. It's not that hard.
I'm at a point where I'm a little bit over Social Media. I'm sick of promoting our work, it's all about us. I'm wanting to find some fun back in Social Media so I can actually keep loving what I do, which is what my work is all about. Social Media for me has to be honest.
Tune in to our meeting if you can relate.
Anna facilitates workshops and retreats where people can learn a variety of communication tools and techniques, including Non-Violent Communication, and become more compassionate with each other, and even more so, with themselves. Honesty, here too, is quite a big element, I found. It's a technique I personally found life changing and could use it for both my personal and professional development. You can hear more about my experience here. If you are dealing, communicating with your clients, or managing your social media presence and have to sometimes respond to challenging comments, I can highly recommend it, along Anna's courses. Very useful. Have a look!
Showing up and owning ourselves, our ideas, sharing our experience on Social Media can be a scary, "out of our comfort zone" type of experience. Especially showing up on video.
I believe we all have a story to share. And when the stories are ready, but we are not quite there yet, sometimes, we just need a little push, some extra support from someone who has been there and done that, to get us started. :) It's been amazing watching and walking along these talented business owners as they stepped up, got past blockages and tapped into their creativity, skills and sharing their expertise, with the help of Social Media. And she walked the talk, too. It's been great to work with Gael and witness the transformation, the "Aha" moments and how quickly she started embracing the new perspectives when we talked Social Media Strategy for her business. But let her words do the justice. :) Keep up the awesome work Gael! I found our one-to-one session brilliant. I took on board all the suggestions you made, including tweaking my profile and making my posts a bit more impactful. And guess what - I've now had two "trending posts". How cool is that!
Law is boring. Hard to understand. Difficult to post about it on Social Media. Not!
Great timing to get everything sorted! And WOW, what a journey they've been on! We are so super proud of you with the WildMedia team.
Conquering social media - it's felt like a minefield & we wanted to avoid it! Stacey Daily & the team at DMK Law have felt the fear & done it anyway. With all our thanks to Bea Pole-Bokor. You bring down the barriers, you tell it as it is, you are sensitive to our area of work, & you bring out our creative side. No nonsense direction coupled with so much laughter - we did it. Thank you and all the best for 2020. Amanda and Stacey are not only very knowledgeable about their respective fields, but they are also super fun, friendly and very people focused. Their new series, Live from the DMK Boardroom, a first in our region (!) - yes, this is the video we were referring to :) - offers plenty of food for thought and valuable tips, so we can be aware of important topics we would never even think about. They are surely about assisting you in the best possible way through the challenges you or your family may be facing. Some great Christmas tips there for employers and employees, too! Tune in and meet the DMK Law Team. :) TOP TIP from Stacey: Feel the fear and do it anyway! TOP TIP from Amanda: Be Brave!
Bea reminded me the importance of focusing on my unique offering and not being all things to all people. To bring myself back to my overall strategy (and making sure I make time for such) and to ensure my social media in is line with that strategy. TheSewingRevival will be better off for it. There was much "food for thought" well after our session. Thanks Bea.
And if you are looking forward to buying or selling a property in the Nelson Region, and want to get things right, talk to Alan at Betta Inspect It - Nelson/Tasman, you won't regret it!
And last but not least, celebrating the fantastic local businesses and organisations who joined us for the last Social Media Workshops for 2019!
Congratulations to all of you and all the best of luck with your Social Media journeys. :) If you'd like to take your business to another level, and tap into the opportunities that Social Media has to offer, let's chat.
