I’m on my way to San Diego!!! A very quick check in to say that I will be attending Social Media Marketing World, for the 3rd time already, and I can’t wait to tap into LOTS of new knowledge and bring back with me the learnings, the new tips, trends, and what’s hot in the world of social media these days!!!
Social Media is constantly changing as we all know, new things emerge all the time, new features come and go, and it’s not easy to navigate this space, especially when you have lots of hats on and have to manage other aspects of the business, not only social media marketing.

I love drawing parallels between big life lessons and nature. Nature has always been a tremendous source of inspiration for me and serves as a guidance throughout my journey, helping me understand, accept, open my eyes to a new perspective, and grow. Just like a flower. That is in the making.
I’m on a big journey with B!Social. And thanks to B!Social. I’m changing, the way I operate is changing, and thus my business is changing. And this rose, a piece of art on top of a glass of rose lemonade, nicely chilled and smelling so sweet in this summer heat, inspired me to share this story today. Yes! It’s time to #bsocialnow and check in. I guess many of you are already back in full swing, or slowly getting back to work, like me? Working perhaps on some new projects for this year, planning, getting back to getting things done.
Business as usual? Or unusual? Changes? Shifts? Wishes? Resentments? A need to do it different this time? Better? More? Resolutions? Busy? Not busy? How is it for you? Here is an update on how the beginning of this new decade has been for me... I thought I'll surprise my subscribers with something special this year. No, it wasn't a last minute Xmas promo, where you get a 99% discount and buy my services for double than usual :) And I wanted a bit more than just a nice Xmas message to check out before I thank them all for being part of the B!Social adventures all year.
It's some topics that I thought they might find interesting, and that are close to my heart. And topics that got most of my followers votes on Social Media that they wanted to hear about. I've been getting some great feedback. So I decided to publish it. Hope you will enjoy it and find it useful!
Following the wonderful feedback from you all, I am excited to share with you the latest "B!Socials in the Spotlight" series - yes, now it's turned into a series! - featuring my lovely clients who we had the chance to work together with on their Social Media Marketing, and who are each doing some amazing things in their respective fields.

Where we meet the people behind their LinkedIn profiles. Welcome to #linkedinlocal. “Do you want to be a judge at this year’s Young Enterprise Awards? It is on the 29th of October - last year you were travelling, I hope not this year.”
When Ventura Fitzgerald, the Coordinator of the Event contacted me via LinkedIn, I knew right away that this year I can and I will say #YES. Yes to the Young Enterprise Regional Final and Awards, yes to supporting today's youthful leaders and tomorrow's best startups in our region. Yes to connecting with our local community. Yes to celebrating and encouraging entrepreneurship. And yes to passing on the knowledge and experience I have gathered along the years. I knew I will have messages to share. I knew there will be ears that will listen and embrace it. But little did I know how this experience will make me reflect, re-evaluate. Tune in and grow. Here is a story of what I learned from the Regional YES Awards. Inspired by #judgelife. How time flies! Yes, spring has sprung, and I have to admit I have no idea where did the last month go! I can't believe we celebrated 2 years in business & the 2nd Anniversary of launching B!Social, from Nelson to the world! :) Here are some exciting updates on what happened in the past few weeks in the B!Social universe. Event highlights:
And, proud to introduce a new feature on the blog: The B!Social Hall of Fame :) Thank you to all the amazing people & my lovely clients for joining me on the journey! :) Here are all the details, read on! It's time to #bsocialnow :)
Last week was big for me. I flew over to Sydney to receive my Finalist Certificates for the Social Media Marketing Awards Australia & New Zealand, the industry's biggest award in our region. I was voted into the TOP 5 by a select group of international judges, in 2 categories:
The past few days have been quite intense, with of course, the Gala Ceremony being the highlight of last week! I am feeling a tremendous amount of excitement, honour and pride to be a finalist. Also, receiving lots of valuable feedback from my colleagues gave me an awesome boost and professional reassurance to keep continuing what I do in this space. And then, when I arrived back home, a sense of tiredness rushed through me. It’s like, you know, when you are on a road trip, it’s amazing, you gain lots of new experiences, and then finally you arrive, ready to take a break, pause, and just contemplate on the memories while you look back on your trip. Now that’s what happened to me. So I took a few days to reflect, look back, evaluate, and of course treasure the moments, the journey. The B!Social journey that started almost 2 years ago, right here, in Nelson, New Zealand. Born out of a new challenge, and with it, a complete new me was born. Thank you to each and every one of you who have been following, were/ or are part of this journey. Here are some of my favourite highlight moments of the Social Media Marketing Awards Gala Dinner. Thank you Social Media Marketing Institute, I will never forget! I am now back, full of new energies, inspiration, and lots of valuable new knowledge to share. And if you are curious to hear how the B!Social journey started, just keep reading :) I am beyond excited & thrilled to announce that I made it to the Finals for the 2019 Social Media Marketing Awards for Australia and New Zealand in the following two categories:
- Best Social Media Educator of the Year (being the only one from New Zealand), and - Best Emerging Social Media Marketer of the Year. "The finalists were selected after an extensive judging process that included judges from 6 different countries, with a record number of entries" arriving to the Social Media Marketing Institute this year! It will be an honour to contribute to putting Nelson and New Zealand on the social media world stage at the Social Media Marketing Awards Ceremony in August in Sydney and be recognised on an international level by industry leaders in the social media marketing space. |
