Limits. Triggers. Emotions. High on the agenda this week. So many things happened... Not just with my clients, but in me, too, and, on so many levels, in our global interconnected world, and in the world of social media, too. Hard to find the right words...
Realizing that something limits us from growing further, or keeps us limited, like rock walls - it’s often our beliefs and mindsets. Like what keeps us back from showing up on social media and talking about our business.... and being really ourselves.

Today I’m bringing a story with the bears. I just love how they still keep showing up. I have been enjoying greeting and meeting them during the New Zealand lockdown weeks, somehow they always brought a smile to my face. I imagine you would have seen some, too?
Here is a story inspired by the bears who keep showing up. Today I am really excited! Something big is happening behind the scenes. The past few months have been big for me. I feel a lot has shifted, and then these past 7 weeks in the “lockdown” made me reflect even more.
It was really like a “lockdown with myself”. Nowhere to run, nowhere to escape, just let a lot of things go and decide to face some really uncomfortable stuff and look into myself... When I left for Social Media Marketing World to attend the industry's most prominent, and probably one of the last conferences of this scale for this year, I intuitively felt that it will be a significantly different experience to the ones I attended before. Why? Because it coincided with a time when I was beginning to shift focus. It started some months ago. I decided to pause, and look at things that really make my heart tick, to look at things that really matter. I decided to set off on a new journey, and traveling to San Diego was part of it. I went there to ask big questions, and find even bigger answers. And then, the world entered a new phase. The timing couldn't have been better, ever! Never a more exciting and empowering moment to dive deep! The unprecedented global situation has prompted others, too, to ask big questions. And I, also, continued on this journey. We are becoming part of a big puzzle. Together. I wanted to write about my takeaways right after the conference, as I usually would do. But the moment wasn't right. I was distracted and tempted trying to answer some burning questions in me, and often triggered and challenged by factors I could not control. A much needed and extended pause. I'm happy I waited till now. The time is right now to share. Here is what I learned from the conference, and looking back now, what it gave me to prepare for these special times and everything ahead. Dive deep. And look at what this moment brings. One step at a time. No rush. Everything has it’s time.
To be patient. To lift off the weight. The pressure. To let go. To surrender. To feel the pain. The anger. The triggers. The judgements. The loss. And then find the beauty. The peace. The strength and knowledge. Within. When living remotely in almost full isolation is a choice... An interesting topic to explore, especially this weekend, as we joined the official Mailboat Cruise to deliver post and packages to people living in one of the most beautiful, and probably most remote spots in the world - all the way into the Pelorus Sounds, New Zealand.
The nature, yes, it's incredible and breathtaking - beyond words, as you will see. But the stories! Thanks to the amazing crew, we learned a bit about the people, too, who chose tho explore this lifestyle, living almost in complete isolation. For a moment, we could experience, first hand, the remoteness, the challenges and the opportunities that come with it, as well as witness a bit how they connect to the world. I’m on my way to San Diego!!! A very quick check in to say that I will be attending Social Media Marketing World, for the 3rd time already, and I can’t wait to tap into LOTS of new knowledge and bring back with me the learnings, the new tips, trends, and what’s hot in the world of social media these days!!!
Social Media is constantly changing as we all know, new things emerge all the time, new features come and go, and it’s not easy to navigate this space, especially when you have lots of hats on and have to manage other aspects of the business, not only social media marketing. I love drawing parallels between big life lessons and nature. Nature has always been a tremendous source of inspiration for me and serves as a guidance throughout my journey, helping me understand, accept, open my eyes to a new perspective, and grow. Just like a flower. That is in the making.
I’m on a big journey with B!Social. And thanks to B!Social. I’m changing, the way I operate is changing, and thus my business is changing. And this rose, a piece of art on top of a glass of rose lemonade, nicely chilled and smelling so sweet in this summer heat, inspired me to share this story today. Yes! It’s time to #bsocialnow and check in. I guess many of you are already back in full swing, or slowly getting back to work, like me? Working perhaps on some new projects for this year, planning, getting back to getting things done.
Business as usual? Or unusual? Changes? Shifts? Wishes? Resentments? A need to do it different this time? Better? More? Resolutions? Busy? Not busy? How is it for you? Here is an update on how the beginning of this new decade has been for me... I thought I'll surprise my subscribers with something special this year. No, it wasn't a last minute Xmas promo, where you get a 99% discount and buy my services for double than usual :) And I wanted a bit more than just a nice Xmas message to check out before I thank them all for being part of the B!Social adventures all year.
It's some topics that I thought they might find interesting, and that are close to my heart. And topics that got most of my followers votes on Social Media that they wanted to hear about. I've been getting some great feedback. So I decided to publish it. Hope you will enjoy it and find it useful! |
